Elliot Norton Awards Nomination

Boston, MA. April 2025.

I am humbled to have received a nomination for Outstanding Solo Performance from the Boston Theatre Critics Association, for my work in Cada Cosa Maravillosa with Apollinaire Theatre Company.

Cada Cosa Maravillosa was a new experiment we undertook at Apollinaire, where the play was performed fully in Spanish concurrently with performances of the same text in English (Every Brilliant Thing).

My friend Parker Jennings is also nominated for the English version of the show.

Review of "Jesus Christ Superstar" by Don Aucoin

"Two standouts in the cast are Gene Dante as King Herod and Cristhian Mancinas-Garcia as Pontius Pilate. [...] Mancinas-Garcia, for his part, convincingly traces Pilate’s journey from cocksure leader to helpless pawn of the mob."

Review of "The Wild Party" by Nancy Grossman

"The entire ensemble is really good and jells seamlessly. A couple of standouts for me are Carla Martinez (Queenie's friend Kate), Ricardo D. Holguin (Jackie), Cristhian Mancinas-Garcia (Black), and Shana Dirik (Dolores Montoya). [...] Mancinas-Garcia personifies smooth and debonair, while hurt and need bubble up inside him."
